Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking into compact RTK GNSS receivers for GIS fieldwork using smartphones and apps like QField or ArcGIS Field Maps.
One device I recently came across is the General Laser GLRM, which represents a new generation of very small, lightweight RTK receivers designed for mobile mapping workflows.
What I'm trying to understand is how these compact devices perform in real-world conditions compared to traditional GNSS setups.
I’m especially interested in practical field experience:
If anyone has hands-on experience with compact RTK receivers like the GLRM, I’d really appreciate your feedback and insights.

- Are there any limitations in terms of consistency, usability, or field robustness?
- At what point does extreme miniaturization start to affect real-world performance?
